About
I started working as a furniture designer and maker from a simple desire to create beautiful things. I had originally studied Materials Science at Oxford, where we learnt about all sorts of impressive engineered materials, but no natural materials. After a few years of intellectual property law in this field, I decided to retrain and studied at Rycotewood. I am now resident at the Sylva Wood Centre. Whilst it can be challenging to work with, wood's beauty and tactility is without parallel, and I seek to showcase this in the work that I do.

As well as using timber for making furniture, I am also in the process of planting woodland with a view to high quality timber production for the generations to come.
I aim to create furniture that will long outlast us all and it is this ambition that shapes my creative process. Even though I’m based in Oxford, I have had pieces commissioned by clients from all over the world, so if you like the works displayed on my site, please get in touch.
